3/31/2020 remember the 7 Habits!Hi friends! I know the transition from school to home hasn't been an easy one. Learning from home and parents becoming your "teachers" has been a big adjustment for some of you. Just know that it may not be easy for your parents either and that's ok. It's new for all of us! There are things that we can do to make this change easier. We have to work together (Habit 6; Synergize), try to understand how your parents are feeling (Habit 5: Seek First to Understand) and make sure to finish your school work first (Habit 3: Begin With the End in Mind) and then take some time to play and take care of yourself after you finish your work online: (Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw). Click on the two links below to review the Habits and to hear a super cool Habits song. Also, please remember that everything will get better and go back to "normal". Try to stay positive and be kind to each other. 3/23/2020 Lesson 2 - habit 7 sharpen the saw Hi friends! Before we began our digital learning at home, we were in the middle of our Habit 7 lesson: Sharpen the Saw. Since I didn't get the opportunity to teach this lesson to all of my classes, I wanted to make sure to post it online. In today's video, you will learn that to "Sharpen the Saw" means to have a healthy work and life balance. You should work, play, eat well, and rest to be healthy and balanced physically and mentally. Sharpen the Saw - Habit 7.pptx 3/21/2020 Activity - Making calming bottlesHi guys! In Habit 7 we learned that you need to have a healthy work/life balance. Sometimes, we can feel a little stressed when things happen that are out of our control. We talked about some calming strategies and some of my classes were able to make calming bottles. Since I wasn't able to make it to all of the classes due to our move to online learning, I decided to make a video so we could make them together at home. If you make one, have an adult send me a picture of it. My email address is [email protected]. I can't wait to see them! https://cobbk12org-my.sharepoint.com/:v:/g/personal/dionna_stevens-doneghy_cobbk12_org/Ef_D52VSDNBDnT-Kvl1UTk0BRv-ptIxTBVh1JZyccrpLBg?e=5lbVZs 3/17/2020 Lesson 1 - How to deal with changeHello sweet friends!
